Third Chakra – Manipura, मणिपूर "the city of gems", "Lustrous Gem", Power
Ten Petal Lotus, Metabolism, Digestion
Element: Fire, Color: Yellow, Syllable:
ram
Located in the solar plexus, above the navel, third chakra rules our astral energies; home of Agni (digestive power), it is chakra of willpower, sun (solar, masculine), transformation, and our connection to dreamworld.

In Vajrayana traditions, the chakra is triangular, red and has 64 petals or channels that extend upwards.
This chakra is important as the seat of the "red bindu drop" (red bodhicitta). The short syllable Ah is located inside the "red drop". Meditation on Ah is the key component of the practice of tummo, or inner heat (kundalini).
In tummo, a practitioner's "subtle winds" (prana) are made to enter the central channel, and rise up to its top. This is similar to raising kundalini in Hindu terminology, melting the subtle "white drop" in the crown, and causing an experience of great bliss. Raising kundalini is considered the first and most important (basis) of the Six Yogas Of Naropa.
MEDITATION:
Third chakra is clear, I have a strong sense of personal power and self-motivation.
My power struggles with others are minimal, because I accept responsibility
for the creation of my own reality. Therefore, I do not feel victimized
or controlled by others. If there is a problem in my life, I realize
that "if it comes to me, it is mine to deal with". I have keen decision
making abilities, strong will power, and good self-image. Since
I take charge of my life, I have good health and vital energy. When
I can balance masculine and feminine, negative-positive, thoughts and emotions, intuition and intellect,
willpower and intent, and surrender to the soul, I can be conscious of many messages
that come from the astral plane. I'm well protected, and able to shield myself from
the "psychic pull" of others, because I'm able to distinguish my emotions
from the emotions of others. I can do this because I have listened to
my own astral world, as it communicates with me through dreams and imagination.
